Wizard of Oz Retro
Maitland Musical Society’s Song Writers and Playwrights have adapted Baum’s 1902 Musical Comedy the Wizard of OZ. This unique version of the classic tale follows the story of the villains (King Pastoria and the two Wicked Witches) in their journey “back to the good side” helped by their friends (General Riskett, Tabitha the Army of One and the Court Jester), the heroes (Dorothy, Tin Man and Scarecrow) and the children in the audience.
Experience the magic as Wizard of OZ Retro combines almost forgotten tunes with interactive and comic stage action. We will be having a meet and greet session after every show where you can meet the cast and get pictures. We also encourage you to dress up Wiz style and part take in our best dressed competition.
